Fire Protection

Jamestown's Construction type is mainly of wood, this in itself doesn't present a problem, it's in the fact that many of its larger turn of the century summer homes were built  along  rocky cliffs with limited access .

Rescue

The summer months explode with the need for Rescue Services, Bridge Accidents & Jumpers, Cliff Accidents, Boat Accidents, Jelly Fish Stings, SCUBA Divers, etc., etc.,

Oil Spill Response

On both the west and east side of Jamestown are Deep Water Channels in which Ships of many types transverse, Oil is Lightered along the shores on the way to Providence and Fall River.

Marine Fire and Rescue/Dive Team

Jamestown is connected to Newport (RI) by means of the Pell (Newport) Bridge and Connected to the Town of North Kingstown (RI) by means of two bridges. 

During the Summer months Narragansett Bay is a Mecca for Boaters of every kind imaginable which can lead to many boating accidents of various types.
