History of the Jamestown Fire Department and EMS Division...

Jamestown Fire Department provides Fire, Rescue and EMS services to the Town of Jamestown, on the Island of Conanicut located in Narragansett Bay, between the City of Newport and the Town of North Kingstown.

Founded in 1891, the Jamestown Fire Department has been serving the residents of Jamestown for over a Century.  The department and EMS Division are comprised entirely of volunteers, dedicated to serving their community, neighbors and friends. 

We are always welcoming new members willing to dedicate their time, effort and talent.  Please see the Volunteer pages to learn more about the opportunities available.  If you would rather donate to the department, please refer to the Donation part of this site for additional information.
